Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1959–1965); the Repin Institute of Arts (1965–1971) in the Faculty of Painting under Ye. Ye. Moiseenko. Exhibited since 1975. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1975). Lives and works in St Petersburg and Western Europe (since 1991). Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Theatre and Music, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), Pskov and Izborsk Integrated Museum-Reserve, Staraya Ladoga Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Archaeology, State art museums in Barnaul, Kirov, Rostov-on- Don and Sosnovy Bor.
