Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1937–1941); Leningrad College of Art and Design (1944–1948); the Repin Institute of Arts (1950–1956) in the Faculty of Painting under M. B. Bobyshov. Exhibited from 1957. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1958), the Gruppa “Odinnadtsati” (Group of “Eleven”) association (1972). Worked as an artistrestorer in the State Central Restoration Workshops, Leningrad (1948–1950). Taught at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1956–1969). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), State Russian Museum (St Petersburg), Kizhi State Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Ethnography (Republic of Karelia), Staraya Ladoga Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Archaeology, State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Ivanovo, Novokuznetsk, Petrozavodsk, Sochi, Tomsk and Vladimir.
