Studied at Yoshkar-Ola Children’s Art School (1970– 1974); Yoshkar-Ola Art College (1974–1978); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1982– 1987) in the Faculty of Industrial Art under Ye. N. Lazarev. Exhibited since 1975. Member of the SVOI group (1986), the Free Culture Humanitarian Foundation (1992), the New Academy of Fine Arts (1993). Professor at the New Academy of Fine Arts (since 1993). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1981). Main collections: Museum of Nonconformist Art, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg).
