Studied at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (1948) under S. Ya. Kalabadze, V. I. Shukhaev; Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Art (1949–1952) in the Department of Sculpture under Ye. F. Belashova, Yu. P. Pommer, A. A. Deineka and V. I. Kozlinsky; Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1952–1955) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Sculpture under V. I. Ingal. Exhibited from 1954. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1957). Creator of monumental works in St Petersburg, Vorkuta and Paris, France. Main collections: A. P. Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre Museum, State Central Theatre Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery (all Moscow), S. P. Diaghilev Museum of Contemporary Art, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Theatre and Music, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), I.
