Studied at Kharkov Civil Engineering Institute (1951–1956) in the Faculty of Architecture. Exhibited since 1960. Member of the Leningrad City Committee of Artists association (1965), the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1975), IFA (1991). Worked at the Colour Etching Workshop affiliated with the Kharkov Branch of the Ukrainian SSR Union of Artists (1957–1958), at the Detgiz publishing house (1963–1966). Taught at Kharkov Civil Engineering College (1956–1960); at the Easel Graphic Art Studio, Leningrad (1974–1976). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Literary and Memorial Museum of F. M. Dostoevsky, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg); Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick, USA).
