Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate (1946–1952) in the Faculty of Painting under V. M. Oreshnikov, and a postgraduate (1953–1957). Exhibited from 1952. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1953). Taught at the Repin Institute of Arts. Honoured Art Worker of the RSFSR. WWII veteran, awarded the medal For the Defence of Leningrad. Main collections: Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts (St Petersburg), Bryansk State Local Studies Museum, Naberezhnye Chelny History and Local Studies Museum, State art museums in Achinsk, Arkhangelsk, Chita, Kostroma, Novokuznetsk, Petrozavodsk, Vologda and others.
