Studied at the V. I. Surikov Art College, Krasnoyarsk (1963–1964); the Correspondence People’s University of Arts (1967–1970) in the Department of Graphic Art; Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema as an external student (1971– 1974); preparatory courses for Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1972–1974); the Evening Classes in Drawing of the Repin Institute of Arts (1976–1980). Exhibited since 1980. Member of the INAKI group (1980), the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1981), IFA (1990). Worked as a design artist in the Advertising Department of the Experimental Trade Equipment Workshops (1990– 1992). Taught in the art studio of the K. Marx House of Culture (2000–2005). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1971). Main collections: Museum of Nonconformist Art, State Literary and Memorial Museum of F. M. Dostoevsky, State Museum of Theatre and Music, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), F. M. Dostoevsky Omsk State Literary Museum, Unecha Art Gallery; Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick, USA).
