Studied at the Suvorov Military College (1949–1956); Leningrad State University (1960–1965) in the Faculty of Philosophy. Exhibited from 1972. Taught aesthetics and philosophy at Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (1965–1968). Main collections: Institute of Russian Literature, Museum of Nonconformist Art (both St Petersburg), State Museum of the Art Culture of the Novgorod Land (Veliky Novgorod), State Memorial Museum-Reserve of D. I. Mendeleev and A. A. Blok (Moscow Region), State art museums in Surgut and Yaroslavl.
