Studied at Moscow Studio Khudozhkory (Art Correspondents, 1930–1932) under D. S. Moor, A. V. Kanevsky. Exhibited from 1930. Member of the October association (1930), the Russian Association of Proletarian Artists (1932), the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1953), the USSR Union of Journalists. Worked for Simferopol newspaper Krasnyi Krym (Red Crimea, 1925); as an artist in the Siniaia Bluza (Blue Blouse) agitation theatre (1926–1930), for the newspapers Komsomolskaia Pravda, Vyshka (Rig Derrick) and Pravda Tundry (Tundra Truth, 1930s), in Simferopol and Feodosia theatres (1939–1941), at Leningrad Arts and Design Workshops (1946–1956), in the Boevoi karandash (Fighting Pencil) association (1956–1990). WWII veteran, awarded medals For Courage, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945.
