Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate (1971–1977) in the Faculty of Painting under Ye. Ye. Moiseenko, and a post‑graduate (1977–1979) under Ye. Ye. Moiseenko. Exhibited since 1977. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1979), the Italart National Association of Artists of Italy (1993). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (1999).
