Studied at Leningrad Art College (1970–1976) in the Department of Theatre Painting; the Repin Institute of Arts (1978–1984) in the Faculty of Sculpture under M. K. Anikushin; the Creative Workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts (1985–1988) under M. K. Anikushin. Exhibited from 1982. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1988), the Association for Itinerant Art Exhibitions. 21st Century (St Petersburg) (2005), the Société Nationale des Beaux- Arts, France (2005).
