Sculptor
Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts (1964–1970) in the Faculty of Sculpture under V. B. Pinchuk. Exhibited from 1970. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1975). Worked at the Applied Art Workshops of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1970–1975). Creator of monumental works in Rybinsk, St Petersburg, Surgut, Slavutich (Ukraine), Hyvinkää (Finland) and other places (1975– 2013). Professor at St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (2001– 2017). Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2014). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2009). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), Historical and Cultural Museum Complex in Razliv, Historical and Literary Museum of the Town of Pushkin, Museum of the History of Kronstadt, Raznochinny Petersburg Memorial Museum, State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Museum of Urban Sculpture (all St Petersburg), Museum Agency (Leningrad Region), Magadan Regional Local Studies Museum, State art museums in Magnitogorsk, Vologda.
