Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1968–1970). Exhibited from the late 1970s. Founder and member of the TOKhIN (Association of Ivangorod and Narva Artists, 1982), member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1984), the PARAZIT association (2004). Founder of the Art-Polygon experimental exhibition site (1999); co-founder of the PARAZIT Gallery (2004). Organiser and teacher of the Art School attached to St Petersburg State University, in the Centre for Russian Language and Literature (2004). Main collections: Central Museum of Communications, Museum of Nonconformist Art, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art (Perm).
