Studied at Leningrad Art College (1971–1975); the Repin Institute of Arts (1975–1981) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under G. D. Yepifanov. Exhibited since 1983. Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia (1992). Worked as an artist in the Malysh (Kid), Detskaia literatura (Children’s Literature), Melik-Pashaev, Akvarel (Watercolour) publishing houses (1989–1998). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1960). Main collections: Museum of Nonconformist Art (St Petersburg), State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan), Novosibirsk Art Museum; A. Kasteev State Museum of Fine Arts (Almaty, Kazakhstan), National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan).
