Studied at the First Leningrad Art College (1937– 1939) under M. S. Brodsky and M. A. Aslamazian. Exhibited from 1955. Member of the USSR Union of Soviet Artists (1956). Worked as a turner at the K. Marx Machine-Building Works, Leningrad (1930–1933); a labourer on the construction of Slantsy Pilot Mine (1934–1937); an artist in Lenizo (1946–1954); in Leningrad publishing houses (1962–1963). WWII veteran, awarded the medal For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Lived and worked in St Petersburg (1930–1990s) before moving to Jerusalem, Israel. Main collections: I. F. Konovalov Museum of History and Art (Berezniki).
