Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate in the Faculty of Art Theory and History (1953–1956) and the Faculty of Painting (1956–1962) under V. M. Oreshnikov, and a postgraduate (1962–1965) under V. M. Oreshnikov and B. S. Ugarov. Exhibited from 1964. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1965). Main collections: ROSIZO, State Museum of V. V. Mayakovsky, State Tretyakov Gallery (all Moscow), Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Kazan, Kirov, Krasnodar, Nizhny Tagil, Orenburg and others.
