Studied at Sverdlovsk Art College (1964–1968); the Repin Institute of Arts (1970–1976) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under V. A. Vetrogonsky. Exhibited from 1974. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1982). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2014). Corresponding Member (2009), then Academician (2014) of the Petrovskaia Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician of the G. R.
