Studied at the Art Workshops attached to the External Students’ School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts (1920–1922); VKhUTEIN, Pg–L (1922–1926) under A. Ye. Karev, A. A. Rylov. Exhibited from 1929. Worked as an artist in the Gosizdat publishing house, for the magazines Chizh (Siskin), Ezh (Hedgehog) and Koster (Bonfire, 1930s); in the Experimental Printing Workshop of the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1939–1941); in the Boevoi karandash (Fighting Pencil) association (1939–1941). Main collections: A. S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow), State Museum of the Political History of Russia, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), Novgorod State Integrated Museum-Reserve, State art museums in Vladikavkaz, Vologda, Rostov-on-Don.
