Studied at Leningrad Art College (1951–1955); the Repin Institute of Arts (1955–1961) in the Faculty of Sculpture under V. B. Pinchuk and V. V. Lishev. Exhibited since 1961. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1967), the Ozerki – Derevnia khudozhnikov (Artists’ Village) association (1990). Taught at the Repin Institute of Arts (1967–1971). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: Moscow Museum of Modern Art, State Tretyakov Gallery (both Moscow), State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg), Staraya Ladoga Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Archaeology, State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Barnaul, Kaliningrad and Tyumen.
