Painter, applied artist
Studied at Ryazan Art College (1961–1965); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1966–1971) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting. Exhibited since 1971. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1973), Creativ- Kreis-International, Deidesheim, Germany (1980). Teaches at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design – St Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design (since 1973), Professor (1995). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2001). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2007). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1966). Main collections: State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg), State art museums in Izhevsk, Ryazan, Tolyatti and Yekaterinburg; Museum of Enamel Art (Himmerod, Germany).
