Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1944–1951); the Repin Institute of Arts (1951–1957) in the Faculty of Painting under B. V. Ioganson. Exhibited from 1957. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1960), the St Petersburg Society of Watercolourists (1997). Worked as an artist in the Detgiz and Prosveschenie publishing houses (from 1961), in industrial graphic art (from 1962). Professor and Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Folk Arts (2004–2007). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2011). Awarded the Medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd class (2002). Main collections: All-Russian Museum of A. S.
