Painter, graphic artist, sculptor, writer
Studied at Gorky Art College (1935–1940) under A. V. Samsonov; Moscow State Art Institute (1946–1952) in the Faculty of Painting under S. V. Gerasimov. Exhibited from 1940. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1953), the Moscow Union of Writers (1999). Worked as an artist for the magazine Yunost (Youth, 1960s), in the Detgiz, Molodaia gvardiia (Young Guard), Sovetskii pisatel (Soviet Writer) publishing houses (1965–2000s). Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation (1996). WWII veteran, awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class, and medals For Merit in Battle, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: Kuskovo Estate Museum, ROSIZO, State Tretyakov Gallery, Tsaritsyno State History, Architecture, Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve (all Moscow), Abramtsevo State Museum-Reserve of History, Art and Literature (Khotkovo), Schelkovo Museum of History and Local Studies, Zaraisk Kremlin State Museum-Reserve, State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Cheboksary, Kazan, Kemerovo, Tomsk, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg and others.
