Studied at Perm Art College (1935–1939); the Repin Institute of Arts (1947–1953) in the Faculty of Painting under R. R. Frents. Exhibited from 1953. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1953). WWII veteran, awarded medals For Merit in Battle, For the Defence of Leningrad, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945, For the Victory over Japan.
