Studied at Riga Polytechnic Institute, Latvian SSR (1973–1978) in the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Exhibited since 1982. Worked as an artist in Riga Porcelain Factory, Latvian SSR (from 1982); art editor for the Riga magazines Rodnik (A Spring), Daugava, Dekorativno-prikladnoe iskusstvo (Applied and Decorative Art) (1991-1992); in the porcelain workshops on Vasilievsky Island, St Petersburg, on the RAT PROJECT (1992–1994). Lives and works in Latvia.
