Studied at Kharkov Art College (1917–1918); E. A. Blokh’s studio, Kharkov (1917–1918); VKhUTEMAS, M (1920–1921) under A. M. Lavinsky; VkhUTEIN, Pg–L (1922–1925) under A. T. Matveev. Exhibited from 1932. Member of Lenizo (1931), the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1934). Worked as an artist at the Leningrad Porcelain Factory (1927–1945), Head of Leningrad Porcelain Factory Museum (from 1936). Awarded medals For Excellence in Labour, For Valorous Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945 and Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of Leningrad. Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), Peterhof State Museum-Reserve, State Hermitage, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Barnaul, Belgorod, Ivangorod, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Samara, Pavlodar, Cheboksary and others.
