Studied at the All-Union Correspondence Institute of Civil Engineering (1958–1959); Leningrad Civil Engineering and Construction Institute (1959–1961); the Art Studio of the V. P. Kapranov Palace of Culture under O. A. Sidlin (1963–1972) and S. B. Epshtein (1972–1990). Exhibited since 1963. Worked as an artist in the Glavleningradstroi Construction Organisation (1957–1961); at Leningrad Jewellery Factory in the Gostiny Dvor department store (1960s), at the workshops of the Polytechnical Institute (1961–1967). Prize-winner at the 1st All-Union Festival of Folk Art, Moscow (1982). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1957).
