Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1945–1951) under V. N. Kitaigorodskaia; the Repin Institute of Arts (1952–1957) in the Faculty of Sculpture under A. A. Drevin, I. V. Krestovsky and V. V. Lishev; the Creative Workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts (1957–1960) under V. V. Lishev. Exhibited from 1957. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1959). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2006).
