Studied at the Polytechnic School of the Leningrad Restorative Centre of the All- Russian Society for the Deaf (1982–1987) in the Department of Art under Yu. A. Kolokoltsev and P. A. Alekseev. Exhibited since 1987. Member of the Stary gorod (Old City) group (1987), the USSR Union of Artists (1990), the Swedish Artists’ Association (2011). Worked as production designer and actor (since 1998) in theatres in Salzburg (Austria), Helsinki (Finland), Oslo (Norway) and Stockholm (Sweden). Taught art at Boarding School for Deaf Children No. 1, St Petersburg (1987–1992); participant in the Russian-American Harmony project and art teacher in schools for the deaf children in Brattleboro, USA (1991); teacher at the Manilla School in Stockholm (2003–2018). Lived and worked in Leningrad before emigrating in 1998, lived in Salzburg, Austria (1998–2002), now based in Stockholm, Sweden (since 2002).
