Painter, graphic artist
Studied at Leningrad Art College (1955–1959); the Repin Institute of Arts (1960–1966) in the Faculty of Painting under A. A. Mylnikov; the Creative Workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts (1966–1970). Exhibited since 1958. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1972). Creator of monumental works for public buildings in St Petersburg and Pyatigorsk (1971–1993). Professor at Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Cuba (1967–1968). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2006). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1946). Main collections: State Russian Museum, Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts (both St Petersburg), P. M. Dogadin State Picture Gallery (Astrakhan), Sakhalin Regional Art Museum (Yuzhno- Sakhalinsk); National Gallery of Armenia (Yerevan).
