Studied at the M. B. Grekov Art College, Odessa (1967–1969, 1971–1973); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1975–1980) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting under A. A. Kazantsev. Exhibited since 1979. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1985), AIMC (1992), the St Petersburg Society of Watercolourists (1998), IAA (2003). Creator of monumental works for public buildings in St Petersburg and other cities in Russia, Estonia, Finland and Lithuania. Awarded the medal In Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of St Petersburg (2003), the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2014), the medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland 2nd class (2019). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1973). Main collections: Peterhof State Museum-Reserve, State Hermitage, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Chaykovsky, Ivanovo, Komsomolsk-on- Amur and Sevastopol; Maria and Mikhail Zetlin Museum of Russian Art (Ramat Gan, Israel), National Watercolour Museum (Mexico City, Mexico), Museum of Srem (Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia), Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art (Ukraine).
