Studied at the Folk Art Studio of the A. M. Gorky Palace of Culture, Leningrad (1930s) under B. A. Fogel and A. D. Zaitsev. Exhibited from 1939. Member of Lenizo (1946), the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1948). Served as an artist in the Political Department of the Baltic Fleet (1941–1945). Taught at Leningrad Art and Pedagogical College (1936–1939). WWII veteran, awarded medals For Merit in Battle, For the Defence of Leningrad, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945.
