Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1965–1972); the Repin Institute of Arts (1972–1978) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under G. D. Yepifanov. Exhibited from 1978. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1985). Taught at the Repin Institute of Arts (1982–2010), Professor. Awarded a diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts for participation in the exhibition Iskusstvo rukotvornoi knigi (The Art of Handmade Book) at the State Hermitage (2000), medals In Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of St Petersburg (2003) and 250 Years of the Russian Academy of Arts (2007).
