Studied at the Art Studio of Leningrad Palace of Pioneers (1936–1939) under M. A. Gorokhova and A. R. Eberling; Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1939–1940); Moscow State Art Institute (1943–1944) in the Faculty of Painting under A. A. Osmerkin; the Repin Institute of Arts (1944–1949) in the Faculty of Painting under M. I. Avilov. Exhibited from 1949. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1949), the Gruppa “Odinnadtsati” (Group of “Eleven”) association (1972). Taught at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1949–1956). Main collections: Russian State Museum of the Arctic and Antarctica, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg), Kirillo-Belozersky History, Architecture and Art Museum- Reserve (Kirillov), State art museums in Alupka, Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Irbit, Kazan, Novokuznetsk, Yoshkar- Ola and others.
