Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1977–1982). Exhibited since 1980. Member of the Mitki group (1984), the Artists’ Union of Russia (1994). Author of several literary works; director of more than a dozen feature and documentary films; active in journalism (since 1996). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (both St Petersburg), Artistic Culture of the Russian North State Museum Association (Arkhangelsk).
