Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1967–1972) in the Department of Artistic Ceramics and Glass under V. F. Markov and V. S. Vasilkovsky. Exhibited since 1972. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1975), the Odna kompozitsiia (Single Composition) group (1977–1986). Worked as a chief artist of Bogashevo Experimental Factory of Artistic Ceramics, Tomsk Region (1972–1976); at the Experimental Ceramics Workshops of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1976–1991). Academician of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Switzerland (1983). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (1999), three times winner of the International Ceramics Competition in Faenza, Italy. Lives and works in St Petersburg.
