Studied at Odessa Art Institute (1930–1931); the drawing studio run by the Moscow Regional Union of Soviet Artists (1933); the preparatory courses of the Repin Institute of Arts (1935–1937) under V. S. Bogatyrev and N. P. Yasinovsky; the Repin Institute of Arts (1937–1946) in the Department of Sculpture under A. T. Matveev and V. A. Sinaisky. Exhibited from 1939. Member of the Uzbek SSR Union of Artists (1943), the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1947), Lenizo (1947–1953). Worked as a sculpture restorer at the Russian Museum (from 1946); took part in the creation of reliefs for the Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery in Leningrad (1960). Main collections: State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg), State art museums in Kirov, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Saratov.
