Studied at Nizhny Novgorod Art College (1921–1923) under A. V. Kuprin, A. V. Fonvizin; VKhUTEIN, Pg–L (1924–1927) under O. E. Braz, A. Ye. Karev; defended a diploma thesis at the Repin Institute of Arts (1954) in the Faculty of Graphic Art. Exhibited from 1928. Member of the associations Masters of Analytical Art (1927–1929), Krug khudozhnikov (Circle of Artists, 1928–1932), Lenizo (1931–1933), Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1932). Worked at the Experimental Printing Studio affiliated with the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1938–1941, 1946–1956). Teacher at secondary school No. 216 (1926–1932); taught at the Repin Institute of Arts (1936– 1937); Leningrad Institute of Urban Construction Engineers (1937–1941); Leningrad Civil Engineering and Construction Institute (1945–1960). Founded an Experimental Lithography Workshop at Leningrad Civil Engineering and Construction Institute (1956). Main collections: A. S.
