Studied at the School of Art and Design No. 11, Leningrad (1967–1971); Leningrad Art College (1971–1974). Exhibited from 1974. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1981), founder and member of the Alipy group (1974), member of IFA (1991), the Free Culture Humanitarian Foundation (1992). Worked as a restorer at the Peterhof Museum-Reserve (1970s), a set painter and prop artist for the Pushkin Theatre and the E. S. Demmeni State Puppet Theatre (1970s).
