Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1936–1942, 1946–1947); Kharkov Military Aviation College (1942–1945); the Repin Institute of Arts (1947–1953) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under A. F. Pakhomov. Exhibited from 1954. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1956). Worked as an artist for the magazine Druzhba narodov (Friendship of Peoples, 1951), in the publishing houses Bashizdat (1952), Uchpedgiz (1952). WWII veteran, awarded the medal For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Urban Sculpture (both St Petersburg), Shushenskoe Museum-Reserve of History and Ethnography (Krasnoyarsk Territory), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Tagil, Ryazan, Solvychegodsk, Veliky Ustyug and others.
