Studied at Industrial College in Viljandi, Estonian SSR (graduated in 1946) in the Department of Fashion Design and Modelling; State Art Institute of Estonian SSR in Tallinn (1946–1952) in the Department of Glass Artwork. Exhibited from 1953. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1959). Worked in Leningrad Artistic Glassworks (1955–1990). Taught at the State Art Institute of Estonian SSR, Tallinn (1952–1955); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1957–1958). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1977). Main collections: Yelagin Ostrov Palace-Museum of Russian Decorative and Applied Art and Interior (St Petersburg), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Murmansk, Tula, Yaroslavl.
