Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1953–1959); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1964–1969) in the Faculty of Artistic Ceramics and Glass under V. S. Vasilkovsky and V. F. Markov. Exhibited from 1964. Member of the USSR Union Artists (1973), the Odna kompozitsiia (Single Composition) group (1977–1986), the Ozerki – Derevnia khudozhnikov (Artists’ Village) association (1989), the St Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art association (1995). Worked as an artist at the Applied Art and Sculpture Workshops of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1969–1991). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (1998).
