Studied at the Academy of Arts of the Latvian SSR, Riga (1982–1984) as an external student under J. Rosenthal; V. B. Karkunov’s studio, Riga (1982–1984); the Repin Institute of Arts (1986) as an external student; S. Rossin’s studio, Leningrad (1987). Exhibited since 1984. Member of the Free Culture Humanitarian Foundation (1992). Lived and worked in St Petersburg (1984–1994), then in London, UK (1994–2003), since 2003 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.
