Painter, graphic artist
Studied at Kiev Jewish School of Art and Design (1924–1930); Moscow Institute for Further Training of Artists (1934–1937) in the Department of Painting under B. V. Ioganson. Exhibited from 1934. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists (1947). Worked as a painter at the Diaphoto factory, Moscow (1931–1933). Taught at a secondary school and Pedagogical College, both Birobidzhan (1933–1934). WWII veteran, awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War 1st class, medals For Courage, For the Defence of Leningrad and For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Museum of Theatre and Music, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve, State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Khabarovsk, Komsomolskon- Amur, Perm, Samara and Saratov.
