From May 1 until the end of summer, the MASP courtyard will feature the installation "Memory. Soar. Victory" – a large-scale kinetic art object created by Petersburg artist Alena Kogan for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

A mast-like structure with red flags fluttering like wings is set in motion by the wind currents. This creates a visual sense of contrast between heaviness and lightness, life and death, stillness and a changing picture of the world, developing in time and space.

The base of the object imitates the image of the "ruins" of the Reichstag, on the walls of which the soldiers of the Soviet army left their inscriptions after the capture of Berlin in 1945. The artist recreated on the pieces of  concrete these recognizable texts, preserved in the memory of the Russian people.
