The total installation by Egor Plotnikov (b. 1980), one of Moscow's best-known young contemporary artists, will occupy the entire second level of the museum's 2nd floor. It will turn the place into a landscape composition, an inner landscape of memory as the artist puts it. The space will be populated by real tree trunks and branches, Plotnikov's oil landscapes, paintings on panels covering the walls, and sculptural human figures of various sizes, from huge, ceiling-high, to quite tiny, as if wandering through the landscape unfolding in the gallery together with the public.
