From Moscow to Petersburg is an exhibition project that brings together solo exhibitions of four Moscow sculptors: Mikhail Dronov, Gennady Krasnoshlykov, Vladimir Kolesnikov, and Olga Muravina.

The creative work of individuals with a solid background, living in the same city, is bound to have points of contact. Completely independent in their artistic interests and with disparate artistic styles, they are close in spirit, in their approach to art, and in their method of self-expression. The first thing that is immediately apparent is the ironic aura that permeates most works of the four artists, a sense of somewhat unreal nature that arises when looking at their pieces. And the longer you examine the compositions the sculptors present, the more you realise that everything is far more complex than initially appears. Their images are often based on paradoxical assumptions, serving as allusions or allegories. Their sometimes bizarre characters offer glimpses of modernity, with its tangled network of relationships, human confusion, and constant need to make choices. At the same time, those characters always reflect the artists' identities. Some common features can also be found in their sculpting techniques. These include a deliberate alteration of the human body's proportions, typically in favour of elongated forms, and close attention to movement and gesture as an expression of internal conflict or emotion.

The project From Moscow to Petersburg not only reveals the uniqueness of each work, but also provides an insight into the development of Moscow sculpture in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, offering the best works as example.
