MASP FILM CLUB: “ONCE MORE ABOUT LOVE” (1968), DIRECTOR GEORGY NATANSON

Screening of Georgy Natanson's 1968 film Once More About Love, a recognised classic piece of Soviet cinema, is part of the MASP Film Club cycle. Tatiana Doronina, an actress of the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theatre, and Alexander Lazarev, an actor of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theatre, co-starred in it. The film tells the story of the relationship between the air-hostess Natasha and the physicist Evdokimov - of how the power of love can bind and reconcile two completely different people with opposite characters. The film is not just a melodrama – it also reveals the peculiarities of life in the 1960s Soviet society.

Visitors together with the film historian Valery Kosenko will learn the details of the film history and will understand its artistic qualities. There will be a joint discussion after the screening giving a chance to share one’s impressions.
