Did you know that traditions of French Impressionist artists found reflection in the early 20th century cinema? At the event organised by MASP Film Club we shall learn about “Impressionist Cinema”, the works of film theorist Georges Sadoul and the oeuvre of director Louis Delluc. In order to get an idea of this unusual phenomenon, visitors will listen to a lecture and watch specially selected fragments from French films reflecting the influence of Impressionism, such as Fièvre (1921) by Delluc and El Dorado (1921) by L'Herbier.
