On 25th March, Museum of 20th–21st Century Art of St Petersburg hosted the grand opening of the exhibition Nikolai Akimov and His Students in its building at 103, Griboyedov Canal Embankment. This inter-museum project was organised to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding theatre director, artist, set designer publicist and teacher Nikolai Akimov.
The gathering was addressed by A. A. Alexandrov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Culture, T. S. Kazakova, Artistic Director of the N. P. Akimov Petersburg State Academic Comedy Theatre, N. I. Metelitsa, Director of St Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music, and
M. B. Dzhigarkhanyan, director of the Museum of 20th–21st Century Art of St Petersburg.
