VERNISSAGE OF THE EXHIBITION “IN THE IMAGES OF ST PETERSBURG” AT THE MURMANSK REGIONAL ART MUSEUM
On 3rd July, the Murmansk Regional Art Museum hosted the opening of the exhibition In the Images of St Petersburg, featuring works from the collection of the Museum of the 20th–21st Century Art of St Petersburg. The exhibition runs until 20th September.
The exposition comprises paintings and sculptures dating from the second half of the 20th century to the early 21st century. It explores the phenomenon of Leningrad and Petersburg art through the works of artists such as Georgy Tatarnikov, Iosif Zisman, Valery Tabulinsky, Igor Petrov, Valentina Rakhina, Zaven Arshakuni, and Vitaly Tiulenev.
Residents and visitors of Murmansk will see "portraits" of Petersburg that capture various natural and psychological moods of the city on the Neva across different periods of its rich history.
